The Houston AutoRama

The 57th Annual O’Reilly Houston AutoRama came to town on November 24-27, 2016. This event was held at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. To the car folks in and around this area it has become a family tradition. For years now we have heard about this exciting car show event, but have never made the journey down there. We found out what we were missing. It is a place where the spectator can gain knowledge from the vendor about their vehicles on a one-on-one conversation, and this is priceless.

The event begins on one end with the Dan Kruse Classics auction that was held on Friday and Saturday, allowing people to bid on cars and trucks, while on the end was a swap meet and toy show where you could purchase vintage parts, memorabilia, and a collection of toys, all surrounded by over 500 quality cars, trucks and motorcycles. Adding to the excitement was Summit Racing Equipment, which had what is known as the Gene Winfield’s Chop Shop, featuring none other than Gene, himself, an icon who is known for building custom cars.

This show was incredible and certainly on our list for next year.
